BIO

As someone who has been performing for over 18yrs, I have developed an outstanding talent in many areas of music. I started the piano at the age of 7, gained Grade 8 Distinction at the age of 16 and received a Certificate of Performance with the Guildhall School of Music at 18. I have won many competitions throughout my playing career including Young Pianist of Leicestershire at the young age of 15. In 2001, I graduated from Salford University with a 2:1 in Popular Music and Recording. So when you book myself, you are not just getting a great live act, but a qualified musician with years of knowledge!

A personal touch from Markus

 

SOUND SYSTEM, LIGHTING AND TRANSPORT

'The Sounds of Soul' is a completely self-contained show: The sound system is based around the best available music and vocal P.A., using 2,000 watts (with the option to add more) of the world-renowned Mackie SRM450 active speakers and two Mackie SWA1501 Subwoofers. I use a brand new Laptop to power the music and a Yamaha mixing desk with on-board effects and graphic equalizer to ensure every sound check and show is tailored perfectly for each venue. My backing tracks have been purchased from a superb sound production engineer and have a full and impressive orchestral sound

Lighting can be provided through many different possiblitles. For larger events, I use over 4000watts of lighting through two icolor4 lights. With its own lighting desk a personal light show fits in perfectly with the music.

If you have a smaller venue, lighting can be provided through a possible 4 white and metallic blue Spotlights, 2, spinning mushroom lights, 2 Suspended DMX colour Mojos, synchronised with additional sound-to-light option and two special sound-to-light coloured floodlights to brighten up the whole stage area. So no matter how small or large your venue/party, I have a lighting solution for everyone.

All the sound and lighting equipment has been bought from 2006 upwards. Any equipment over a year old has been PAT tested and proof certification can be provided.

I have full insurance on all equipment and have £5million Public Liability Insurance. On arrival, I will be dressed in black and white logo shirts and black trousers (no sports wear or jeans) which always impress the client and a sense of 'customer first' is the base line from which I always work. For your special event, I have a number of extremely smart suits to choose from giving your night that personal touch.

Transport of myself and equipment is by a new van, with the added comfort of Breakdown Insurance in the unlikely event of any problems.
